Angela Peters is a valued member of the Northern Michigan Elder Law team, proudly serving clients in East Jordan and throughout the region. She assists with client intake, Medicaid planning and coordination, and estate administration, helping individuals and families in Northern Michigan navigate complex legal and financial matters with clarity, compassion, and organized guidance.

Angela is a licensed attorney and earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law after receiving dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Religious Studies from Arizona State University. She gained local experience as a clerk for Judge Roy C. Hayes III in Charlevoix County’s 33rd Circuit Court. During law school, she also served as a legal intern with the Law Offices of Ashley Abano and as a mediator for the El Cajon Small Claims Court, helping parties reach resolutions and prepare settlement agreements.

Before joining Northern Michigan Elder Law, Angela spent seven years as a Loan Specialist with Loan Depot, guiding clients through the mortgage process, and worked as a Real Estate Transaction Coordinator with My Home Group LLC in Phoenix, Arizona. Her extensive background in law, real estate, and mortgage lending, combined with her direct experience in the Charlevoix County court system, gives her a practical, well-rounded perspective on the legal and financial challenges families face, especially those in tight-knit Northern Michigan communities like East Jordan.

Angela is deeply committed to providing thoughtful, responsive service and meticulous attention to detail. She takes pride in helping local families protect what matters most, whether they’re planning for the future along the shores of Lake Charlevoix or managing affairs in the Jordan River Valley. As a member of the East Jordan community with kids in the local schools, Angela has strong roots here and a genuine understanding of the needs of families across the area.

When she’s not supporting clients, Angela enjoys gardening, spending time with her family, and embracing life in East Jordan.
