Emilee Evans is an Associate Attorney at NORTHERN MICHIGAN ELDER LAW, PLC (NMEL). Emilee was born and raised as a Boyne City Rambler and received her B.A. from James Madison College at Michigan State University (MSU) in Social Relations and Policy with a minor in Spanish. At MSU, Emilee was very involved with the Lansing community as well as participating in organizations and internships around campus while maintaining seasonal employment in Northern Michigan. Emilee also presented her Honor’s Thesis at the JMC Research Showcase which contemplated areas of nursing home policy.

Emilee returned to East Lansing to attend Michigan State University College of Law (AKA Detroit College of Law). At the end of her first year, Emilee was a finalist in her class’s best brief competition, was certified as a General Civil Mediator, and began interning at NMEL. During law school, Emilee served as a student attorney in the Animal Welfare Clinic as well as the Chance at Childhood Clinic, was the community service coordinator of the Women’s Law Caucus, and continued seasonal employment in Northern Michigan including her internship at NMEL. Emilee has practiced with NMEL since she was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in May 2021. Emilee focuses her practice exclusively on the areas of Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Administration, Medicaid Planning, as well as Conservatorship/Guardianship matters.

Emilee recently moved to Traverse City and enjoys being with her family, friends, and dogs; as well as running, skiing, mountain biking, ice climbing, and cooking.
